Senza Nome in Maastricht

Upon entering we received a courteous and professional welcome by someone who appeared to be some sort of manager or supervisor. The restaurant has a very modern feel with tasteful interior. The menu is compact yet includes varies typical dishes from traditional Italian cuisine. Portion sizes are acceptable but the food itself overall lacks in flavor, the chef clearly attempts to aspire to what one would call 'gourmet cooking' but in my opinion has a long way to go until he can reach that stage.
Service overall was clearly lacking training, was terribly disorganized, inattentive but at least polite. There seemed to be no structure within the service team and no clear rules on who had what tasks. After we had waited for more than fifteen minutes on our dessert, upon enquiring with the senior staff member I was assured it would be ready in a few moments. Within a few minutes a 'cold' creme brûlée was served and what was supposed to be a tiramisu but surely did not look nor taste like anything close to what might resemble this famous Italian dessert.
After paying the bill, I found my jacket which upon entering the restaurant had been taken off me by the manager/supervisor, hanging on one of the bar stools with a simple sticky note on the bar table with our table number written on it.
Overall, I would not recommend anyone to try this restaurant. They attempt to be fancy but cannot cook nor serve at that level. Table next to us had to wait more than five minutes to get spoons for their pasta!
